Well Daisy has managed to somehow swallow my sister's prenatal vitamin as it fell out of her hand and onto the floor. I've called the vet, and they said she should be okay, just to keep an eye on her. This just made me think, what are some of the craziest things your boxer has ever swallowed or attempted to swallow?

Well, DaeZee just got home from spending a week in the hospital from swallowing a stuffed monkey. The vet sent it home in a baggie for us as a souvenier

LOL. I assume you kept it of course :D

I had a friend who had a golden lab, and as a puppy he swallowed a light bulb. Not a little one mind you. I'd guess with their big mouths boxers can swallow just about anything. And I imagine prying those jaws open is quite difficult.

Apollo is still in the hospital recovering from surgery to remove a small piece of a plastic chew that got stuck in his small intestine.

Hopefully he has learned his lesson.

Luckily, the most that Stormie has ever swallowed is bits of fuzz from "de-stuffing" toys. However, one time we were watching her cousin boxer, Nina, and she went out to go potty and doing the crazy "I've got a cling-on" dance.

WARNING: The next part is kind of gross...

So I went over with a paper towel to relieve her of what I thought was a "cling-on". I ended up helping a 14-15 inch long and probably 4 inch wide piece of walmart bag come out of her bottom!!! I couldn't believe it as I kept on pulling and I had no idea when it would stop!!!! Poor Nina, that couldn't have felt good.

Completely Boxer Crazy
My parent's male, Brutis is quite the eater of strange things. The most dangerous thing he ever ate was an entire tin can. The funniest thing though, was when he was alot younger, we are still not sure what exactly he got ahold of, but when he pooped, it was like a mop coming out of his butt. We were laughing hysterically and he finally did pass it all, but it literally looked like a mop hanging out of there!

This morning he actually just threw up about three piles of paper towels. We knew he got ahold of one last night, but apparently he got a few more then that. Frankly, I am in awe that he has never had an obstruction in his 9 years of eating crazy things!

We were fixing a glass panel on our back door when we dropped one of the hinges that held it on.

Riker lunged and ate the hinge... I never saw it pass, but I assume it did!

Mayhem is our "eats everything" girl. A couple months back she vomitted up two small stuffed toys, that I probably hadn't seen in a couple weeks (they were pretty gross).

Four weeks ago she had to have surgery to remove a piece of corn cob that became obstructed in her small intestine, that she somehow managed to get a hold of at a cookout we were having. DH said that was the most expensive piece of corn we ever bought!!

Now I watch her like a hawk and make sure the house is spotless, or at least spotless of anything she might be able to swallow!!!
