I want to again express my gratitude to all of you for your kind words and condolances. I can't believe the peace that I found in writing that tribute to my boy. The words flowed as easily as the tears.
Today Vex is being privately cremated. I'm not sure what I will do with them but I hope I will find comfort in having them near me.
I have created quite the shrine at home. Everywhere you turn there is a picture of Vex along with poems and paw prints. He has left a tremendous hole in our lives. It is however a little calming to know he isn't crying for something, where he is now he is in want of nothing.

I just don't know how you did it. I have never as an adult had to send one of my babies to the bridge. You've been in my thoughts every day since you posted that you thought he was ready. You & your family will remain in my thoughts and prayers during you time of this great loss.

The love you had for your dear Vex is so apparent in your post. How heartbreaking & sweet all your memories are... I also sing you are my sunshine to all my babies skin & fur alike. I also fell in love with a boxer baby, my 2nd boy who didn't just have a place in my heart. He owned it. I know he will run to me at full speed & probably knock me down with wiggles when we meet at the bridge again. God bless you.
