Just a little note to let you know of the devastating news I had this morning.

My beloved Roxie has been quite ill recently and today was not a good day to say the least. We think Roxie suffered for a tumor in her head/neck area over the last month had her ups and downs. This morning Andrew (my husband) came down stairs and found Roxie half on her bed and half off. She had vomited but was too weak to get up. She subsequently lost control of her bladder and lost all vision.

Once we had gotten her to the Vet her temperature had fallen enough to indicate that her central nervous system was shutting down. I was advised of two options; one to medicate her so she was comfortable and the other to put her to sleep. For those of you that know us well you will know the heart ache we have suffered in making this decision.

Please be reassured that she fell off to sleep very quickly and appeared to be in not pain.

To my "Beautiful Roxie" ............. I love you and will desperately miss you and I thank you for all the wonderful memories you have left me with.

No more needles and no more pain, Rest in peace Princess.......my most loyal friend!

Googbye Roxie

Thanks all.

As each day passes, I learn to cope not having my princess around, but the pain will never completely go away, you just learn to live with it.

It has actually been 3 months since Roxie passed to the bridge, (I copied an old email) and lucky for my second boxer Samson that my sister is living with us temp and she has two brindle clowns also, Tazman & Riley, so Samson is not too lonely. Hoping he is not missing Roxie too much.

Not quite sure what to do when she moves out, as I don't want Samson to frett but I am unsure if I am ready for another boxer....strange as it sounds. I love them too much and the pain has been incredible coping with the loss of Roxie that I am dreading the day Sammy crosses to the bridge, thus ever going through it again.

Any advise on how to best help Sammy readjust?

Thanks again,

Nic ...... and Sammy.:)
