Thank you for your kindness...

Thank you to everyone who read my post and offered such kind words and sympathy at a really difficult time for me. It has been just over two months that we lost our baby Stella. I think about her all the time wish I could see her again. After doing some reading and research, we believe Stella had Seperation Anxiety. She hated to be apart from us and would do anything she could to get out of her crate. She would cry frantically after being put in the crate and work herself up so much, she would drool so much from crying that it would leave a pool of slobber in her crate.

I want to make sure everyone understands what happened in the hopes that this story may help someone else. Stella was crated during the day while we were at work. She begain escaping so we used small clips that were about an inch - 2 inches long to help secure her crate. She still managed to get out a couple of times after we began using the clips. She learned how to push at the door just right and use her nose to push the bottom clip up so that it would give and move upward, leaving a space she was able to squeeze out of. The last time that this happened she put her head through and couldn't get it out or back in and choked. She did not have a collar on. She was determined to get out.

Needles to say that we are still hurting and miss her so much. I truly appreciate all of the support from everyone her on boxerworld. Thank you.

We have recently brought home another boxer. Initially we intended to wait until summer, but our house was so quiet and lonely and we missed having a dog to love and care for. We ended up holding out for a whole month! We now have a bridle girl, we named Gabby. She is a sweetie. She does have a different personality than Stella, but she does do something every once in a while that reminds us of Stella and it makes me smile, laugh, and sometimes cry! We are having a great time seeing her grow and become more curious each day. Everyone, please give your doggie a big hug and a kiss on the mug! Remember how lucky we are to have them and all of the unconditional love they bring us.

Thanks for reading.
