My baby Flew Home Monday! (sorry long)

Hi all! I thought I would get over it but I am not!

I fly home on the 25th and Dozer and all of my kitties all went home On monday... (For those of you who knew my struggle with airlines and finding the right method of travel we choose Pet Air and they did a wonderful Job! So just for any of you first time flyers I would reccomend them! )

They were picked up by my Father In Law and I have all the faith in the world that he will take care of all of them but I am just worried that they will be diffrent when I finally do get back! I have called to check on them once but They weren't home! He has taken Dozer to work with him ever since he got there (he works for an alarm company and drives most of the day and Dozer loves car rides)...

But the day he got there Dozer flipped out when john had to take my coat (I put it in his kennel for the flight which was 8 hours long) out to wash it along with the rest of his bedding and such Dozer tried to nip him! So john left it alone! He said any other time he would have though that it was a mean dog but considering what Doz had just gone through he didn't hold it against him!

That alone made me feel HORRIBLE and now I just wan to get home! Anyone else have to leave their baby? How did you make it without going crazy!?

I have yet to leave Layla, but I can feel what you are going through. Layla is my whole world and not to have her around would be torture. I don't know how I'll ever travel again. I'd miss her way to much. She had to spend the night in the vet once and I was so worried about her that I threw up! What's PetAir? Can people travel on it too or just animals? Sounds like something new thats extra friendly to pets, which if true, its about time!

Pet air

Is a Pet charter service only! They get your babies and they have them all day they walk and feed them according to the flight regulations and after they are done flying they walk them for a long while and do A basic health assesment Just to make sure your animals are fine before you pick them up! They were also pretty cheap too I sent 1 Boxer 2 cat's and 2 kittens and they only charged me $700! They are also very friendly and have attendant's that make sure you have everything you need for them and if you don't they have it there! They were going to charge me just $700 for Dozer but since my pusses went to they didn't charge me any extra $! They were absoulutley WONDERFUL! It put my mind at ease!

I'm glad your baby's made it back. I remember you looking for the different ways to get them back. Did they come back to Michigan. You wrote on another thread about getting together with others from Michigan, looking forward to that. It sounds like your baby's are in good hands, so don't worry, you only have a few more days before your here. Have a safe trip home.

That sounds like a great service! Hope your flight goes as well!
My mom picks Luka up on Friday's and I usually stop by my apt on my way to her house to change clothes (she has 6 cats) before picking him up. It is soooo lonely in the apt when I stop! Oh it's terrible! Luka's toys all laying around and his crate door open, the apt is so empty!

I have never had to put my babies on a plane, but I did leave Xena once for a week while backpacking in Algonquin Park. My bil looked after her and I too had a shirt in the crate for her. The whole time in Algonquin I was thinking that she would hate me for leaving her. I'd see a deer and say "ohhh look at that...the same color as Xena" and then start missing her even more! :p When I went to the bil's to pick her up, she almost bowled me over she was soooo happy! And the funny thing was bil said that after the 1st two days she would not poo and he was concerned. He took her back to the building I was living in and she would poo in her regular spot, so for the remainder of the week he had to take her home to potty! :D
Anyway...so glad your babies made it home safely and soon you will be too!

Thats wonderful all your babies flew together, I bet when you see them, they will be bonded more than ever & glad to see you!Your coat was Dozers security blanket, he can smell his Mom & didn't want it touched,he is guarding it.The baby kitties will look so much bigger & stronger when you get here,but I bet they all miss you, as much,as you miss them!I bet they counting down the days!Hanley

Dozer is getting back to his normal self! He gave them 3 wiggles yesterday! I asked them if he was wigglin for them the day before and they didn't know what I meant so I told them That he hasn't done it for you yet So they called to tell me that he wiggled 3 times for them! I talked to him over the phone and he gave me a woo woo it was so sad!

I miss my babe! But soon I will have my smushy kisses again!
