I have been reading all these the last hour and have just been crying my eyes out to no end..I am so very sorry For Rocky..I have been there and my god it aint easy but i will tell you my story...I guess i will start at the beginning..Well it all started in 2001 when my husband wanted a boxer that was in the paper and i did not want a dog at all but we went and got her ..She was going on 8 at the time.Her name is Lizzy..Well we fell in love with her and she was a good dog..Well anyhow last year her toe was really bad and they had to amputate her toe due to cancer and the vet said you probably got another yr or so with Lizzy and we overjoyed by that..We took her to the vet this past December and they said she had a lump under her jaw and behind her hind legs,but they were to give her pills and come back in 3 weeks..Well the swellen did not go down and she lost 10 more lbs.the vet said it was lymphnona,(cancer).she had bumps everywhere on her back also..The vet said probably 1 month-3months..Well I cried all the way home and in the next couple of weeks it was hard on her and the family..My husband just decided one day to call the vet and set app. to have her put down the following friday...the next few days we said our goodbyes everyday and hugged her and kissed her all the time...The day it was too happen i could not go with the rest of the family and went to work instead...I thought maybe they would not do it...My son told me my husband cried like a baby and i cried all day at work...I didnt want to do it cuz i was selfish i guess..She did suffer the last maybe 2 or 3 months if her life..She couldnt jump no more and didnt eat too well either..She did love us all and we know that cus we all loved her terribly and will always miss her...We have good memories of her and pictures all around us..She was our girl..I know what your going through, and i feel for you and for your beloved Rocky...Prayers go out to you

Dropping in to check on Rocky and see how you are doing? I hope all is well and you are having peaceful nights.

Oscar is starting to accept being an only dog. He is still looking for her, but not so much now. He's a lot needier lately, but that's ok...so are we.

My mom sent us old pictures of us and Semmi...hubby and I just sighed over them last night. It's been so quiet around the house without two, but we are making the most of it, and loving Oscar all the more for it.

Prayer for me to give me the strength to get thru today and do what I have to do. We are letting our precious, gentle Rocky go today. I have an appointment at the vet at 9:00 am...this is one of the hardest things I have ever done. God only know how much we love him....got to go crying to hard to type....and my heart is breaking....Rocky & Mom

I am praying that you get though today Ok I know it will be one of the toughest days for you but rest assure Rocky will be pain free, running free he knows how much you love him and everything you did for him. Theres nothing I can say to make you feel any better, you will just have to have the strength to carry on and remember all the joy he brought you, and how lucky you were to have him in your life.
