Wanda, we're still hanging in and fighting the old cancer monster. Can you beleive it was a year ago on the 10th. I am amazed that he is still with us. He is still eating, does the wiggle, greets me but bless his heart his tumor is so large. As long as he seems ok I am ok. I know our days have to be so limited...sometimes I think he will just live forever. I get on here and read all the post of those who have lost their babies and cry my eyes out. He is laying on my bed asleep as I post. Sometimes he starts whinning...wants me to come to bed and guess what I do? I go to bed. He totally rules this old lady! So how is new motherhood. I looked at your pictures. They were so sweet. Chanc looked like he accepted the new baby with a confused look like what's going on. They are such character! Hope you had a nice holiday...take care....Rocky & Mom

Glad to hear you guys are still hanging in there. Chancey and Sev'n are inseperable cohorts in crime. I have a feeling it will be Sev'n who leads the dog pack. Chancey seems to let him do whatever he wishes including eating HER food if I don't catch him first-LOL. Huge hugs from us all!

Just checking in...Rocky has had some rough night and of course me too. He can't seem to get comfortable. He is such a character...he just want give up the fight. I have seen so many with the same cancer...like Semmi and she is gone just like my vet said 6 to 8 weeks. He has started coughing and I know that has to do with the lungs. The vet said the cancer normally spreads to the lungs and that is what will be the end. I have had a year I didn't expect with him but I will never be ready to give him up....he is my baby!!

I envy you the chance to spend this time with your baby. My Emma left us on 1/10/07 after being sick for less than 24 hrs. She went sleeping with her mom. Emma did get special treatment the last ten weeks of her life, she was recovering from her TPLO surgery, and was in an enclosure for 10 weeks. We spent every minute at home, those ten weeks, on the floor with her, took turns sleeping with her in the family room, as she could not yet jump on to the bed or couch. Had I known her time was limited, I would have taken pictures, given more treats (she was on restricted food intake because of lack of excercise). But I do know that she did get extra love and rubs and hugs, if she was going to be confined, she wanted all the extra love we could give her.

Cherish the time you have with your baby. The look I got from Emma the last night when she crawled onto the matress with me is what I remember the most. I covered her up and snuggled her and she had this look that said "I Love You Mommy". I think she knew she was going to the bridge and wanted me to know that she was thankful for me.

Emma will be waiting for your baby.
