My 2 yr. old female never in heat? Normal?

My 2 year old female boxer has never been in heat that I know of. Is this normal? When should I be concerned. Her 2 female litter mates have both been in heat 2-3 times already.

Could it be that she has had a heat cycle and kept herself really clean and you didn't notice?????

The normal range for a female boxer's first heat is anywhere from about 7 months to two years. So she's not actually out of the normal range yet. That said, the fact that her littermates came in a lot earlier would normally give rise to a reasonable expectation that she'd be similar though. Have you seen a vet?

Hi, she is not fixed because she was (is) a show dog and we were considering breeding her. So we have been waiting and waiting....

It's possible her first heat was a silent heat and you didn't notice. As she is two years old and that is the outside range for when she should come into heat I would take her to the vet and make sure that there is nothing wrong with her.

my female did not go into her first heat till she was almost two years old. There was nothing wrong with her she was just a late bloomer. and before I get asked to why she is not spade is because she is a show dog and the other reason is because I am not comfortable with her going into surgery. We have raised Boxers for the past 35 years and only spade the ones that are not up too standards set by the AKC.
