Does anyone have any suggestions to help my litttle Tykie?

We took Tykie to the park on Sunday, to play her favourite game....tennis ball fetch! Well I guess she over did it, because a little while later she bagan to limp. Her front right paw was bothering her. We checked the paw to see if she got anything stuck between her toes...but nothing was found. We called the vet to describe the situation.....he thought it was muscular because she was still jumping up on the bed and able to climb the stairs. She also allowed us to manipulate her leg and we found no bones out of place.

We crated her for a couple days so that she would rest her paw....because as you know Boxer's don't sit still!! She seemed to be getting better...the limp was gone and she was playing as normal again. Then yesterday she played rough with my parents dogs in the backyard, running, jumping and pouncing. Needless to say the limp is back!

Does anyone have any suggestions for things we could do to help heal her sore muscles?

I have no specific advice for this, sorry, but I do recall seeing a post with a similar 'complaint'. Perhaps do a seach in this forum using "limping" or "muscles" as the keyword and see what that brings up?

I hope Tykie's better soon. Perhaps a trip to the vet's in order??

My 2 year old Boxer had the same thing after playing and romping with my daughter's new puppy.
We also thought it was her paw. It turned out to be her elbow. The vet called it soft tissue damage. She was in a cast for a few days then we had to keep her "quiet" for another week. She hasn't had the problem since. Best of luck to you.
