Murphy and Mindy

The other day I was cleaning the house when when Mindy decided that Murphy needed some company. The next thing I know these two are racing around the basement making some fairly decent laps. Murphy as much as he loves the excitement, would be a gentleman and let Mindy win the races. Once Mindy figured this out she would get a bit upset and try to get Murphy to give a bit more competition. She would run behind him and nip at his heels, his response would be jumping up on the couch to get a break.
Mindy being quite the instigator would insist that he continue the races. After hearing a lot of barking (from Mindy) I decided to check to see what they were up to. I peek my head around the corner and there is Mindy trying to get Murphy to run and Murphy swatting her off the couch. She would just jump back on and Murphy in kind would swat her off the couch again............I was going to have a discussion with him about manners, and never hitting a lady, but I was laughing so hard I couldn't do it. He is so gentle and would never hurt a lady, especially since he has 40lbs on her. Then again she kept going back for more.....
What can you do but laugh......one of the cutest things I have ever seen...

It sounds like they were having fun. I enjoy those times when they entertain themselves and wear off all that energy at the same time. It gives us a nice break for a little while.

This is exactly what I keep telling my boyfriend. We need to get Chance a playmate My birthday is June 1st, so I'm hoping that he will let me get another one for my birthday. I am keeping my fingers crossed

My girl tortures my boy endlessly this way-but if she stops he goes over and gives her a poke with his paw so I think he is just playing hard to get

My fur-babes never give up the chase! There's always a couple pace laps,followed by the full blown run, followed by the drive by tackles, and finally the plop! Then after a nap, it's go-time again! Never a dull moment!
