Hi everyone. I am fostering a new lady named Annie. Annie is covered in tumors. I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea what this could be? I have linked some pics below. Its difficult to see in pictures but the lumps that look like hives are actually tumors. We did several needle aspirates but sadly they were inconclusive. Typically Mast Cells are seen in needle aspirates so since none were seen (they took a lot of samples) we are leaning away from that diagnoses. We did x-rays and the lumps are NOT on her bones or in her lungs. We also did an ultrasound and so far no organs are involved. Blood work was also normal. In addition to the what is seen in the pictures she also has one VERY large softball size tumor that is over her heart area and wraps around underneath her armpit. She is scheduled for a biopsy on Jan 29th but that's a long time to wait so I was just trying to do my own research. One possibility is something called non-epitheliotropic cutaneous lymphoma which is apparently quite rare. Take a look at the pictures and let me know if anyone has seen anything like this before...

Poor Annie! I don't have any words of wisdom for you, as I have never dealt with cancer. I just wanted to send some positive vibes to Annie. ---->>>>>

I saw a picture of a bulldog that was covered with even more than she has and all I remember about was that it was some kind of inoperable cancer. Hope isn't the same thing. The bulldog had them all over back and every where but none were big like the one over her heart.

Yeah as soon as I saw her I knew that there wasn't much hope. The pics don't really show the extent of the tumors. She is covered in lumps. Under her chin, all along her front legs, her head, she has a another very large lump on her hip, etc. There are more tumors than I can count. Honestly I am surprised she is even still with me. But amazingly it hasn't spread to her insides. I guess I will have to wait another week and see what the biopsy says. I'm sure its some kind of cancer and with the number of tumors there is no way we could remove them all. She is such a nice dog though. She LOVES the play ball, is friendly with all humans, great with other dogs, & loves my kids. She is a great representation of all the good in this breed.
