Hi, my boxers name is Ashley but she wets on the floor so much my son and I call her Ms. Pee-body. I've had her now since she was 6 weeks old and she's now 3 yrs old. She does the wetting at night and other times during the day when she's home alone. During the day she's home for at least 8 hrs. I make sure I walk her. When my son had company last weekend she wet on his bed as if she was saying "you're not paying attention to me". I've tried "natures miracle" for the carpet and will shampoo everytime she does it but now I'm tired.

Crate!

My suggestions is to crate her when you are not at home and at night. This behavior should not be happening at 3 yrs old. House breaking 101 here we come!! On the other hand, have you had her checked out by a vet? If this is a recent occurance she may have a urinary tract infection. That would need to be taken care of quickly and should resolve the issue.

Sounds like Ashley (aka "Ms Pee-body") may be in need of crate training to help with her little pee-problem. Do you have a crate for her where she can be kept when you're away from home? Once a dog learns that it's crate is a safe and comfortable place, it usually won't soil its own crate (unless the crate is too big for the dog.) This is a good starting point to teach doggy not to go potty in the house.

I'm in the process of housebraking and crate training my boxer puppy and I found that the 2 go hand-in-hand. Basically, you'll need to eventually teach her that the whole house is her "crate" or "den" where she will not go potty. It takes a little time and patience to get to that point (and might be harder because your dog is now an adult), but I'm sure you're in the right place here in Boxerworld where you can get some good tips from folks more experienced on this more than I. Good luck to you!

Good good, glad you got the crate. Here's another idea I had to help you...Do you have a local Petsmart in your town? The Petsmart by my home offers a $15 "Potty Training Class" with a certified trainer. This one time class is an inexpensive way to get some guidance on your problem with an expert.

Take Care,

I completely understand about Ms. Pee-Body! Kia will be 3 next week and still does this too, however she is in a crate and has been since she was a baby. Our thing is she will go in the crate! She will go and then sometimes lie in it until I get home which is never longer than 8hrs, more like 3-4. Our vet and behavioral specialist have deemed her a "special dog" b/c of this action. If I am there she will hold it for hours, especially at night. She's on clomnicalm for seperation but it still doesn't help with the wetting. So ANY further suggestions you guys have here will be great, I'll keep watching! Good luck w/ Ms. PB!!!
