Babs had good days and bad days. Her decline was slow. Her episodes with the disorentation and walking in circles happened more often towards the end with a longer "recovery" each time it happened. She also lost some of herself after each episode.

Stay strong and keep your pup happy as possible. Enjoy each day you have.

Oh my heart is broken. I am so sorry for your loss. I home the good memories will be a comfort to you. One of my favorite quote that I found after we helped Indy to the bridge...... "the pain eases but the beauty remains"......

Know that we are thinking about you and your family. Run free Hoss.....

missing Hoss

Thank you all for your kind words. It's still so strange to come home and not have my sweet boy here to greet me. Although sadly, he hadn't been doing that the past several weeks. Poor guy was not feeling well at all. It's becoming less painful everyday for our family. I miss him more than words can say. Going on a walk now feels so strange without my little buddy walking with me. I just feel so cheated! He had just turned 7. Too young.

so sorry....

I'm so sorry and I'm going through the same thing, I just had to put my pup of 4 years down last Sat....it's devastating....he had a tumor that herniated in my brain and he couldn't breathe on his own after being under for the MRI :( sigh....it's tough....I always think I'm going to see him where he use to hang out...

do you think boxers are prone to these tumors more? I love boxers but don't want to go through this again :(

tumors

Sorry for your loss too Robyn.
Apparently Boxers are prone to brain tumors. A friend was telling me there was a show on just the other night about overbreeding, and they specifically talked about Boxers and brain tumors. I did not see the show, my friend said it was Frontline. Anybody see it?
I've had the same thought. I can't imagine not having a Boxer because now I know how wonderful they are, but to have that happen again would be tough to deal with.
