Hey guys,

I'm sure other discussions about this have taken place but I thought we could have a current topic on this matter. I was just curious what the most expensive item was that your puppy or dog destroyed. I ask this because Layla (4.5 months) was in my room playing with some of her toys, then I noticed she grabbed my watch from my desk and was about to chew that up. Needless to say it is a very expensive watch and I probably would have been pretty upset over it (even though it would've been more my fault heh.) Anyways, if you've faced similar situations or were just a few minutes too late, I'd like to hear about it.

A 1 month old $1000 couch. Thankfully the damage isn't visible unless you are looking for it, and its still useable.

Also, a window sill and dining room chair.

For Thor it was my cell phone. For Arabella it was my office! The desk, the file cabinet, the futon and the carpet! I can't fault her too much. I don't work and so I'm home. I went into the hospital for a week and she had was about 9 months old. Before that I don't think she had been left for more than a couple of hours. She had Star and Thor for company but she wanted me. My Mom and husband took shifts at home and the hospital so she wouldn't be left for too long, but apparently she was left long enough. She got a crate as soon as I was well enough to shop for one! She is now over two and she no longer needs the crate.

Kymba as a puppy has chewed through a brand new Sony SLR digital camera an Ipod classic and a leather couch. She seem very happy chewing away on them not a care in the world to the cost.

Napoleon chewed on every window sill in our sunroom.
That is 9 windows... Replacing them was quite costly.
Luckily he has outgrown that...

Scissors ate the trim from all the car windows in 2 cars, an antique headboard, a pound of Godiva chocolates, 5 lbs of See's chocolates, a pound of parmagiano reggiano, multiple door frames and half a garage wall and yet still lived to 12.
Boxers 2-4 were good dogs!
Cg is my favorite pair of Coach gloves and a living room wall.

Mali destroyed our old sofa, mostly by bouncing on and off it while playing with Oscar or looking out the window, but there also was some chewing involved. I spent $1600 for a new sofa, but it is a lot nicer than the old one, so I can't really say it was a $1600 chew toy, although I do like to complain about it.

I've been lucky so far...the only thing Buster managed to destroy were some tempting Xmas ornaments when the Xmas tree was up. Actually, he did find a small hole in a sofa throw pillow and would pull all the stuffing out. I'd come home and restuff it...it was a daily thing until he started eating the stuffing...then it went in the trash.
