Mosquito's

I ahve my girls on heart worm medicine, but I quess I just want to feel reasured that they are okay. The mosquito's are crazy around here and I just noticed tonight that my girls have big mosquito bites on them. I'm going to double check with thier vet tomarrow but other than them scratching they will be okay right?

They should be fine as long as they are on heartworm meds. For the itching and swelling my vet has me give Ginger benadryl, really seems to help.

Being close to the Texas coast the mosquitos are almost big enough to carry the dogs off. There is a town south of here that holds an annual festival for the pest. Sherlock would come in covered with welts and once I walked over to him and there must have been 20 mosquitos on him. I now use the Advantix fleas, tick, and mosquito repellent. It works very well.

I live in the lowcountry of South Carolina, and we have allot of the pesky little pests. Duke always get bites on him, and he has been on Medicines since he was old enough to get it. To make it short, I am saying the dog will be fine as long as he stays on it.

Okay, thanks guys they have been on it since they were old enough so I guess they'll be fine.

My vet recommended K9 Advantix... he said it is the best stuff out there to keep the mosquitos away
