The mosquitos are horrible this year & Zoe just gets eaten alive, the other morning she came in (just from being out to potty) with proably a baseball size patch of multiple mosquito bites on her neck & many other elsewhere on her body. Hubby promptly treated the yard with Mosquito-b-gone & that worked great, even through a couple of rains, but the problem is if we leave our yard. I guess I am asking if anyone has any ideas of a good, safe, pet friendly mosquito repelent. I worry about her licking herself & getting sick & I don't want to have to bathe her daily. Any suggestions would be welcome. (She & Gus {eng cocker, doesn't seem to get bit nearly as much} are on Frontline Plus every 30 days, does anyone use Bio-Spot, I have heard this is supposed to repel mosquitos also?)

Thanks for any help possible.

We had the same problem last year with our male. We use advantix and have not had any problems. Last summer we had already purchased Frontline so we gave our babies (no smell) garlic pills. It did help but with garlic and advantix we haven't had any issues so far this year. I am sorry you are even having to deal with this. Its horrible to see your baby all eaten up like that. It would brint tears to my eyes every time. Good Luck and let us know if you find something else on the market we'd love to try it.

www.cloudstar.com Check out the Buddy Splash.

The Buddy Splash mist stuff is an all natural flea repellant spray. I will not be using any chemical repellants. It also helps keep gnats, flies and mosquitos away.

Essential Oils

You could also try different essential oils on your pet's COLLAR if you are looking to get away from the chemical stuff. Note use on the collar as you do not want your poopy licking the oils.
pennyroyal
lavendar
cedar oil
eucalyptus
neem
