Just some other things to think about that aren't funny.. but have brought plenty of laughter in our home. I'll let Iggy tell the story. Just imagine being kept in the back of a pet store in a warehouse type setting for the first 14 months of your life... someone rescues you and brings you home in something that makes you fall down and lose your balance(an ASPCA truck)...you get there and they place you on the ground..... (is that what skin people call it?)...lol let's just say grass took some getting used to. They take you inside their home and EVERYTHING is new so of course you HAVE to mark your territory right?? of course!!!!! Then the scariest things ever took place.... this BIG box lights up and there are people talking from it... my owners call it a TV. I was totally amazed!!!! wow... everytime it turns on.. I sit there and watch it and hug my daddy cause its scary and loud.... I kinda like it now and even see other furry friends on it because my daddy lets me watch animal planet.. it's amazing!!!!!
What happened next I still haven't figured out.. but I know where it comes from... way up in the sky there is a dark brown box that has a swingy thing hanging from it .. and every once in a while a little birdy comes out and cuckoos...sometimes only once sometimes it just keeps going ... luckily for my daddy.. it's waaayy up in the sky and I can't reach it.. because OH BOY if I could.. I would get that birdy. The first few nights my daddy made me sleep in a cage but I made such a fuss that he gavein (which made mommy pretty mad)he lifted me onto where they sleep but I couldn't stand up right because it was filled with all this mushy stuff they call it a waterbed. I do have to say this.. I don't want to sleep anywhere else now.. it's so warm and comfy it's my favorite place to take a nap but i'm only allowed to sleep there when my daddy is there. I try to get there first to get the best spot but mommy makes me get down until they are both comfy under the covers. My buddy kacy and I do about 20 spins in the bed until we fnd just the right place to lay down. A few weeks ago Daddy woke up and was so excited. he loved me up and I got excited too I was kidnetbeaning all the way down the hallway until we walked to the sunroom.. then I saw it... everything was different.. everything was WHITE!!!!... My dad let me and Kacy out and Kacy ran around like anut so I followed her.. I didn;t know what to think BUT let me tell you this... don't let those little white things get in your eyes.. they are cold!!.. and I can't help but shake them out everytime one lands on me. I like snow now and I make my daddy laugh when I put my face on the ground and push the snow like I'm pretending to be a bulldozer. I definetly love my daddy the most. I am back in the cage during the day because I like to chew furniture cushions when no one is around.. Kacy just sits there and watches me and tells me I'm gonna be in trouble when daddy gets home but my daddy loves me too much to punish me..... I really don't want to be in the cage because my mommy and daddy bought this new living room furniture and I would just LOVE to get ahold of one of those cushions. I definetly am glad that I live here with my mommy and daddy and the rest of the family.. and I never want to go anywhere else..... except for the time this friendly cat rubbed against me through the fence and I jumped it.. daddy was amazed because the fence is 4 feet tall.. (ahh it was nothing) now he put in a new fence at the front of the yard that is about 8 feet tall I won't ever be able to jump that big thing but I practice all the time. Anyway thats enough about me for now.. I'll keep you posted on how I'm making out ..... so far this is the life!!!!!!Daddy keeps talking about going to a place called the beach when summer time comes. woohoo that place sounds fun!!!!!!! talk to you soon... Love Iggy

Thank you for giving this dog a second chance! Iggy will soon forget his old life and will become accustomed to his new life of luxury. I am still amazed at how humans treat other living beings badly.

I love hearing about Iggy! still more tears to my eyes--but good ones because it is sooo wonderful to know he is safe and happy now! heehee--it is sad that such normal things like TV and grass and snow were so foreign and terrifying, but also kinda makes me laugh to picture Iggy's amazement once he realized they wouldn't hurt him!

Carl, I don't think you're going to miss out on any puppy stories. Iggy is going through his puppyhood NOW. Life is new to him...EVERYTHING is new to him and you sound like the perfect parent to live his puppyhood with him. Does that make sense to anyone, lol? I am so excited for you and Iggy.
