More healing vibes for Holly, please

[Scrapper's Mom]

You guys may remember my puppy, Holly, fell last month and injured her leg. Well, Wednesday afternoon, apparently, she just somehow stumbled, and broke her leg. Honestly, it was such a minor thing, normally you would have thought nothing of it, but even though she was no longer limping and had had the bandage off for over a week, apparently, the leg was weaker than we thought.

I spent a horrible afternoon in the vet's office as soon as I realized that she could not put any weight on her leg. There is a complete break of both of the bones of her right front leg near the paw, and there is an odd boney growth at the top of this leg, which could have been an undiscovered injury from the first accident. Anyhow, Thursday AM, Christina and I will be taking her to the surgeon for a consult and most probably surgery to put some plates or pins in the bones so they can heal properly and then we will know more. So please send any healing vibes and thoughts if you can. I know she is just a little puppy and there are big problems in the world more important, but it is breaking my heart to see her this way. I just want her to be back healthy and sound, running and playing like she used to.

I haven't taken this really well, I ended up in tears in the vet's office. I just want this all to go away and my little sweet girl back to normal.

I know she is just a little puppy and there are big problems in the world more important, but it is breaking my heart to see her this way.

No such thing as "just a puppy"...not in my book...Holly is OUR puppy and that makes her so very special to all of us..just as she is to you. I am so sorry she is having such problems and I know it hurts to watch them hurt. I'll continue to keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Now, as for the crying at the vet's office??? Well, girl that is just what really good, loving and caring Moms do! I hope you held your head high as the mascara was dripping down your cheeks... I'm so sorry she broke her leg! What a horrible thing to have happen. Sending prayers her way for a quick and full recovery! Debbie was right, there is no such thing a "just" a puppy. I think most of the people here feel that way. I know my two are as much as part of my family as my three skin children, I consdier myself to have 5 kids. There is sure nothing wrong with crying!
