Sorry I've been away from here for a few days...seems like I missed some stuff.

Sheila--I'm so sorry that you're having such a difficult time with Punk. Maybe letting your sister have him might not be such a bad idea. I don't think you're a quitter--I think you're trying to do the best that you can for him. It sounds like he needs someone home with him b/c he doesn't like to be alone. He probably also needs to run a lot. The problem with BYBs is that they don't care about their dogs or their puppies, and certainly not about the buyers. Obviously, or she would want to help you with Punk, not give you some stupid answer. It's such a difficult position to be in...go with your gut instinct. If you feel like he would do better at your sister's, then I would do that. As long as she fully understands the situation, which I'm sure she does, then I think he might do better. Maybe he just needs to get over this hump. Sometimes they grow out of separation anxiety, although it might take a little while. Don't be hard on yourself, though, b/c you've done everything you can to help him. This is what happens when dogs are not bred for temperament. Please give him a big squeeze from me. And please give Casey girl a big kiss, too. Poor girl...she's going to need a vacation!!

Is anyone going to the park this Sunday? I know it's supposed to rain again all weekend, shocking...I guess I'll play it by ear. We're trying to get most of our stuff moved to the new house, so it may be tight, but I think Colby would like to get to the park, since we haven't been there in a week or two.

Melissa - I just wanted to let you know that Bailey just adores Aiden. She got to play with him on Tuesday and Today. He is such a cutie!!

Nicole, I just have that feeling of letting him down even knowing that he will be better with my sister. She has a lot of land. I talked with my vet again today, balling my eyes out, about if there was anything else I can do, he is now on 20mg of Valium and it does NOTHING. Ugh, I will write more later, this is soooo hard!!!

Oh, Sheila! You really are NOT lettting him down! You are giving the best life for his special needs that you possibly can. It is a last resort and a good one. It is better than having him and Casey constantly under stress (not to mention yourself). I'm sure you have told yourself all of thiss a thousand times, you just have to believe it. You're doing everything you can, and have been, but your sanity is at risk and his and Casey's safety too. God, I wish all the BYB's didn't exsist! I know it hurts, and I wish I could ease that pain for you somehow. Dempsey sends kisses to all. And I send a big hug to each of you too! Hang in there, and remember, we're here for you!

I hope the rain clears up, Dempsey misses Colby!

Sheila, you're not giving up on him and you're not letting him down. I can only imagine how you feel, but please don't be hard on yourself. You have done and continue to do everything you can for him. You don't want to keep driving yourself crazy over this. They can sense your stress and it can in turn make them stressed as well. If you think letting him live at your sister's house will help him, then you should do it. You know she will take good care of him and you can see him whenever you like. Like I said, you have given him every opportunity you can to help him and it's not working. That's not a reflection on you...it is just something that he is going through. Hopefully by moving him to your sister's house, he'll be able to run and play and calm down. Please give Punk and Casey a BIG kiss and hug from Colby and Skye and I.

Colby misses Dempsey, too! When we went to the park the week after his surgery, he looked at me like "Mom, where's Dempsey? He's always here!" I felt bad for him b/c there were no other Boxers there and he couldn't figure out those other dogs! It's supposed to clear up on Sunday, so I'm going to take him down. If he gets dirty, so be it. He needs to run and play somewhere other than home!

Well, if there is no rain, then we'll be there. I just have to remember to bring a towel with me. I don't think baby wipes are gonna cut it :D

Aiden and I are going to the park today around 4. Hopefully some of his buddies will be there!!

We're going today it's our day off, we'll try our hardest to meet you and Aiden there. Dempsey hasn't played with a boxer in quite some time. :(

I am dying to get Colby there, but we're moving in another week and our weekends are spent packing and getting the new house ready. I'll be so glad when we're in and settled. At least the dogs like their new house! I may be able to get Colby there on Sunday. We have a party to go to in the mountains, but it's early, so we won't get much done on the house. So maybe I'll just plan on bringing Colby to the park Sunday afternoon. Is anyone going?
