Our little 14 week-old needs somebody to go outside first and let him know its ok, then he runs and plays in the rain like it's nothing. He's a little bit of a water baby. He loves the tub. I fill it up so that it comes up to a few inches past his belly and then I find some toys that will sink to the bottom and he spends bath time holding bis breath under water or blowing bubbles out his nose trying to pull his toys off the bottom. The only part he hates is getting his ears and head wet.

We've been leary of the bark park because Duncan has a real Napolean complex and likes to push around all the big dogs. Plus he still likes to nip and pull at everyone like he's still a little puppy. I think we might take him there on a week day first when there are fewer dogs and see how he reacts. He's pretty good with the neighborhood dogs, but they have all ben playing for the last 6 weeks.

DuncanEarl, where are you located? We all have so much fun at the park. I was leary about taking Casey becuase she can be snippy but she managed to do good. Hopefully you could meet us all there one Sunday.

We're not going to make it today. I have a feeling it's going to be way too muddy and Colby gives me such a hard time in the bathtub. Plus, I just got home from running errands. I completely lost track of time. I feel bad b/c Colby could use some park time, but he'll get filthy! Ordinarily I wouldn't mind, but with trying to sell the house, I don't think it'd be a good idea to have the tub be all brown!!
I'll let you all know if we're coming down to theh park during the week.

Hi everyone, I've been following the conversation and it's so funny how similar these little guys are. We have little Riley, he'll be 11 weeks on Tuesday, and so far the only other boxer he's played with is DuncanEarl!! (we live in the same neighborhood). Riley is about 13 lbs and thinks he's the biggest guy on the block! He snorts and snarls when he plays making him sound like a tough guy, but most of them can knock him down with one swipe of the paw! And he just keeps going at it with dogs 3 times his size. I'd really like to get him over to the Bark Park, I am hesitant though, he's so outgoing but still so small - I worry about him!!

Hey Melis, I took Dempsey the day after he got his last set of shots and was terrified! It wans't for a bash of anyhting so it was just tssrange large and small, loud and quiet, intimidating dogs. I fought the ugre to turn around and leave and Dempsey did great! We've been going regularly now and he is gettinig SO well socialized with different dogs. He is an alpha male and I was worried about him trying to play with the wrong dogs, but he seems to sense who he should mess with and who not to. It is also teaching how to play without trying to dominate while he's young. Him being an alpha he tries to dominate us by hugging our legs and other dogs by pinning them, we are breaking him of this and the park help alot. I keep a hawk's eye over him. Meeting at a Boxer Bash, you would at least know that we are responsible owners and that most of ours are still puppies anyway :D. I love Dempsey to get new playmates so whenever you'd like to meet, we'd me there.

Wow, if we all get together one day, the Boxers would really take over the park!! LOL. I'm taking Demps tomorrow not sure what time yet, if anyone is interested.

Oh yeah, Melis, if you go during around 12-1pm there is barley any dogs there. If you don't work during the day, I have off Tuesday, I could meet you during that time, so that if you go there is at least one dog to play with. At that time, i think, there is 1 to no dogs there. Maybe Aiden and DuncanEarl could come too? And whoever else doesn't work during the day and it could be a Boxer-only time. I think that would be more comforting.

I don't know if Aiden and I will be able to make it tomorrow. The only time I could really make it would be around 9 in the morning. I am off all day on Wednesday, and we will definately be going to the park sometime during the day then. He is WAY overdue for some real playtime. This rainy weather has been rough!!! Let me know if anyone can make it either day and we will make sure we are there.
I can't wait to see everyone again and to meet some new boxers. Riley is so adorable. He reminds me of how Aiden used to look when he was that small.
