Mom to be...

I all, my name is Lore, I live in Indianapolis. I have two flashy female fawns awaiting me at the bridge. Sadie and Libby. Sadie at four, had to be put down, her kidneys were functioning at only 15% by the time the vet diagnosed her kidney failure, after numerous visits for her weight loss. About a year later, I got Libby, the love of my life. I just lost her in October, she got away from me and was hit by a car near my parents farm. She was not yet 2, is still a devasting loss. I have been been reading posts and searching the site for a couple weeks now. I too believe Boxers are the greatests fur babies of all time. My two, also loved to woo woo, Sadie when she was ready to head for home after visiting friends, and Libby whenever she heard mom or dad's voice on the answering machine. I dearly miss the "beaning"
I would like another boxer, have been looking at rescure sites, we don't have one close here. But, I have found one in IL, I may apply there. In casual conversation at work, I discovered a coworker with Boxer Pups for sale, they are established show bloodlines, so a bit high priced for me, am trying to talk her down. LOL

Welcome to BW

Dear Lore: Like the others I too am so sorry for your losses. Any of us that have lost a friend know how it feels and what you're going through. For me the best thing I did after I lost Porter was eventually find the strengh to own another boxer...GAGE. It really helps you move on and remember the good times with your last pet. So good luck trying to jew her down on the $!

Sorry for your loss

I have only had my boxer a little under a year. I can not imagine the pain one feels when they lose their dog. I am so sorry, and wish dogs lived forever.

Thank you

Thank you all so much for your replies, I was a little saddened that no one had yet replied and today....wah la. It was a much needed boost to my day. My coworker did come down on price, but I have decided I am not quite ready yet. A lot of changes going on right now. But one day in the future when I have more time to devote to a new baby I know it will be a Boxer. Thank you all for your kind words. I still plan to visit Boxerworld often.
