I left for work at 5am, Kailee, Clyde and Hubby still snoozing in bed. I left knowing that all would be well, hubby was home today to entertain and care for our two furbabies. Seems they slept in, they all woke up around 11am, the two furbabies went out for their pee, then back in while dad made coffee. Once the coffee was made, hubby went out to the balcony to enjoy his coffee in peace, leaving the two of them inside where it was airconditioned. Seems when hubby closed the balcony door, the stick that I use to keep it secure so the dogs cannot get out on their own, fell down and wedged the balcony door permanently shut to anyone outside  So, at aprox 11:30 am hubby is locked outside on the balcony with two boxer mushes staring at him through the glass!! That didn't last long according to hubby, they went to work, almost like they sensed that although dad could see them, they were out of his reach. Counter surfing must have happened because Clyde came back to the door showing dad the loaf of bread :D He then proceeded to wing it around the room, sharing it with Kailee of course ;) They had their little picnic on the floor, then moved onto better things, anything that was on the table was checked out, my coffee mug from the early am. was knocked on the floor and so it went on, every once in awhile they took a peak at dad through the glass door. Hubby said they eventually got tired and both crawled up on the sofa to sleep, they of course could still keep an eye on dad from there ;) I arrived home at 2:45pm to find two very happy boxers meeting me at the door, my living room in one bigtime mess, and hubby looking through the balcony door at me with a VERY sheepish look on his face. When I realized what had happened I cracked up laughing which hyped the dogs up even more  Finally I gathered my thoughts and let hubby in. This is a day he will not forget for a very long time
So, leaving for work with a feeling that hubby is in charge is now a very scarey thing

I cannot stop laughing...I can picture your "story" perfectly. Thank you for sharing! My husband is sitting behind me at his desk and I read your story to him as well. We are both laughing like crazy now. Oh my goodness! I can see the boxer standing at the door showing "dad" the loaf of bread, and then slinging it around. They certainly had a good 'ole day, cannot say the same for "dad." Ha ha ha.

Mom at work, Dad locked out What more

I chuckled when I read this, because this also happened to my husband when I went grocery shopping one day. Seems hubby went out to the garden and Coleman who was inside, jumped up and flicked the lock switch to the back patio door. When I came home 2 hours later, there was hubby sitting in the garage with Coleman's nose stuck to the window wondering what all the fuss was about. My hubby had tried to get Coleman to jump back up to the door and re-open it, and when it failed he sat in the garage looking like all was normal so the neighbours didnt laugh at him. Ahhhh those boxers! At least Coleman didnt have a picnic on the living room floor. From now on whenever we go outside we make sure we hhave our house keys on us.

LOL You are so lucky!! Actually Clyde providing a picnic is becoming a habit around here, this is the second picnic in just a couple of weeks he has set up for Kailee, and then there was the breakfast in bed Clyde made for Kailee  I'll share that story with you all when I have a bit more time, this too was something hubby had to deal with ;) We Just Love Our Clyde lovicon :D
