ok i have to moan. its sooo rare to see another boxer about here and i totally get over excited when i see one. 2 things happened today. right after work as always we were headed to the park. we just came out of the house and were getting bailey in the car when a man walked past with a boxer. she was a gorgeous brindle baby looked about 4 or 5 months. i imediatly went into boxer stalker mode and hurried bailey up so hed see him and we could introduce them. she also looked very very skinny and i wanted to find out more. the guy just nodded and walked on even tho his girl wanted to see bailey and vice versa. i just put him on in the car and grumped. then we get to the park and are in our usual spot havng a game of footie when i suddenly see 2 big boxer boys comming towards us, that is soo amazing for here ive only ever seen a boxer once in our park and it was 10 weeks old! i hurried the boyf and bailey up and we got to them and the 3 boys started a great game of super fast chaSE boxer style. i waved to the woman to show her i was cool with it and she started shouting them like mad walking on and really calling them cross. i had no choice but to take bailers away. i was so upset. boyf thinks im mad but i really want him to have fun with other boxers. why dont these peple want their babies to play? i so love seeing bailey running and getting a bit of good old ruff & tumble with another dog. for him it must be worth hours of playing with me. i actually got offended by it. im sad i know.

I understand. When we have Abby and Wilson together, they go crazy. They LOVVVVE each other. However, sometimes it doesn't look or sound like it. But it is just play. Abby does it when her brother (lives across street) comes over to play. They go into boxer burns all around the living room. Abby and Wilson do it together too. For the people that understand what they are doing, it is SOOOO cute and fun to watch. We've cried laughing so hard. It shocks some people though when they start playing a little rough or start boxing each other.

i know but both occasions tonight were other boxers. that what i cant understand. apart from playing together i want to talk to the owner and their baby. i love to talk about bailey and i guess i just cant understand why others dont want to tell allabout their doggies. i mean look at us all. surely we arent mad are we??

If we are mad, it is a GREAT mad. We love our babies so much we just want them to have all the fun we can get for them and we want to brag on them when we can. Why those two humans were like they were is a mystery that will probably never be solved. You have to wonder why they even have dogs, let alone boxers, which require so much of our love and time. Not that we boxer lovers would have it any other way!

I totally understand! There is a house near me with a "Boxer X-ing" sign in the front yard and everytime I drive by I hope to see someone or a sign of life so that I can stop and introduce myself.

You never know, some people are just strange! I have a neighbor that has boxers and I have tried to talk to him, but everytime I start toward his fence, he just goes inside. Weird!

Yeah, that does sound weird doesnt it? Perhaps the owner was having a bad hair day, or was suffering from some embarrasing complaint and had to get home double quick LOL.
We hardly ever see Boxers around here and when we do its just from the car window...sigh.
I was at my dads once when through the window a beatiful red Boxer went by... If the owner of that dog is reading yes it was me waving and squealing"ooooh a boxer everyone come quick see the Boxer" How embarrasing...groan. Ha Ha!

I too rarely see boxers here, I seen a pair, a pretty white, and a brindle in a yard once, then they put up a ____________ and I havnt seen them out since. Its sad, because I drive by all the time, and I NEVER catch them out anymore..it makes me sad to my face. I wish Frankie could find some boxer friends here in town to play with. Too bad you BW buddies dont live close, we would all have fun together, have a big ol bw bash!! :D

There could be many good reasons why they didn't want to stop and let their dogs play. Schedule, maybe their dogs don't get along with other dogs etc but at least they could explain or wave to let you know.
