nothing new. Each day that passes seems like it is less likely we will see her again. I seem to be the only one who cares, despite the police report. They don't make it a priority. The shelter staff on Ft Sill and in town both know me and will now call me anytime they have something MAYBE Boxer-y come in their doors.

Just checkin to see how the hunt for the baby is going. Sorry to hear she is not back home. She is in my thoughts all the time, and we are still hoping that everything will work out. (((((()))))) from Jade

I just caught this thread. I cannot begin to express my sympathy for you and your son, not only at losing Mindy, but George too. Godspeed George, watch over your Momma, skin brother, and missing sister. You and your family (skin & fur) are in my thoughts and prayers. As each day goes by, try not to give up to much. Mindy is out there somewhere waiting until she can get back to you. Congrats on your rescues, and Charlie Paper sends you his kisses to help warm your heart in this dark time.

Completely Boxer Crazy
I just read your entire thread and feel a sick pit in my stomach. I am so sorry I found this so late and wanted to let you know how sorry I am that this had to happen. It is shocking what people will do with out a thought or concern about others. Oh, I hope we hear good news soon.

Still nothing. When I got home from work the other day, my neighbor came over to tell me that she was going to call animal control because my "ugly dog" (what she calls Mack) growled and snapped at her kid. I thought about it for a minute, then told her that she needed to keep her kid away from my doors and windows when I am gone. Mack, Lillie & Emma are inside uncrated all day, except for when my son and friend are here for potty breaks - then they are outside WITH the dogs. The only way that Mack could have growled/snapped at her kid was if they were messing around my windows when no one was here - Mack is fiercely protective of "his girls". He and Dunny guard all the girls here....it is funny.

In the back of my mind, I keep hope alive that Mindy will find her way back some day, but as time passes, I know that the odds grow slimmer and slimmer.

There are countless stories about missing pets finding their way home (ie//dogsinthenews.com/issues/0208/articles/020814b.htm), so hang in there.

Of friend of mine was similarly harassed by a neighbor who constantly threatened to call the police and aspca about her "vicious" dog. She beat the neighbor to the punch line and called them herself to tell them what was going on and welcomed a home inspection to see for themselves that her Scamp was nothing but a big mush. The police advised her to call each and everytime she was threatened, and I would advise you to do the same - those kids were obviously trespassing on your property again and it should go on record.

Still praying for Mindy's safe return ~ Cathy
