Miss Abbey has another lump....

Last night I found a lump about the size of a walnut between Abbey's (rotti)second and third toes on her right hind leg. Two weeks ago she had surgery to remove two low grade malignant tumors, one off her ear and the other off her side (she only just had her stitches taken out). The one on her ear had come up very suddenly which the vet said was of some concern as it actually had another smaller lump coming up beside it.
The one on her toe must have come up in the last week and a half because I trimmed her nails about then and never saw anything.
I'm really worried that this is the start of something nasty.
She is nearly 10 years old.
I am taking her to the vet this afternoon. I'm fairly certain that she'll need to have it removed ( another surgery).
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Is it possible that she has cancer within her body and that these lumps are just going to keep popping up all over her? I'm really worried. Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Please say a prayer for Miss Abb that this isn't the start of something really bad.

T Cell Lymphoma

My Sophie is 7 years old and has had at least 13 tumors removed. She has had at least 5 surgeries in her short lifetime. We found out yesterday that she has T Cell Lymphoma. I pray for you and your dog. My dog is acting very well, but we know about her illness. I thank every day that I have her.

I will keep her in my prayers. Do a search on the web for IP6 I am giving it to my dog who has mast cell grade two removed twice and it seems to have stopped it from coming back.

Booked for surgery tomorrow

Thanks for all your good wishes and suggestions.
I took Abbey to the vet on Saturday and he was also suprised that another lump had come up so fast. It looks like a cancer again.
He suspects that her immune system is supressed allowing these tumors to keep popping up. She is booked in to have surgery tomorrow.
She is also going to have a small lump beside one of her nipples removed while she is there. We were going to wait to see if it grew before we did any surgery on it, but since she is having the lump on her foot removed the vet is taking that one out too.
He said he would not be suprised if within the next 12-18 months she had something serious (ie cancer) happening inside her....but we can not know for sure.
For now we are just going to keep an eye out for more lumps and do what we have to do to ensure she stays in good health, is comfortable and happy.

I'll update again after the surgery. Keeping our fingers and paws crossed all goes well.

I am so sorry to hear about Abbey's problems. I would remove all carbs from her diet as cancers feed on carbs. I would also look at boosting the immune system.

Bad news...

Just got back from the vet with Abbey. The surgery didn't go well....or at least the outcome isn't good.
The lump next to her nipple was nothing, so that was ok, but the lump between her toes was really bad. The vet basically said it was the worst you could get. It was growing into her foot. He considered amputating her toes but he said it was pointless becasue it is too far gone.
Next step would have been leg amputation to stop it spreading but at her age and her size she would not cope.
He expects that it will enter her lymph nodes next and go from there.
He said he would be very suprised if the lump or lumps weren't back within 3 months.
I'm really upset...but in a way I guess I knew that this would happen.
For now she is in no discomfort and is oblivious to her prognosis so that good for her. We'll just keep her comfortable and happy for as long as we can.
Thanks for all you good wishes so far. It makes me feel better knowing that you guys know how I'm feeling.
