That's a really funny story! I've actully had people seen pictures of Ali and they have asked if he was a St. Bernard! I just said no he's a Boxer while I was kinda laughing inside!

Oh my...I've had people try to convince me that there are miniature boxers as well, or that my Miniature Pinscher is a Mini Doberman LOL

Lack of knowledge

I think the problem w/ many dog owners is that they don't educate themselves as to what kind of dog they have (even if its a mutt) or other breeds that are out there.
There was a posting on this website a while back about people mistaking boxers for pit bulls...think before you speak or ask what kind of dog that is b/f you ass-u-me.

I have a boxer puppy who is about three months old and one person asked me if he's a Boston terrier and another asked if he was the wrinkly kind of dog. I had to try hard to keep from laughing at that question. I said to the person oh you mean a Shar-Pei, no he's a boxer puppy.
