Man there is no way that dog is 10wks. old!
When I brought my Gordon home at 8wks. he was twice that size.
Now at almost 14wks. he is 25lbs.

Hi everyone, we've got some great news! In the two weeks since her first vet visit, Osuna has nearly DOUBLED in weight! Her first weigh-in was at 2.7 pounds, and now she's at 5.2 pounds! Our confidence is renewed in our little pup, and I just wanted to thank everyone for responding to our concerns. Not only is she bigger, but she's full of energy and spunk. She's gonna be ok!

Glad to hear your baby is doing good. Did the vet ever say anything about her age?? She looks like a normal boxer baby, just a lot younger than what the "breeder" said she was. I have seen many byb's advertise pups as older so they can get them out sooner.. but in actuallity a 8wk old baby may really only be 5wks. :( its unfortunate. Anyways, just glad to hear your pup is doing good. Any updated pictures?

You know I haven't asked the vet about how old he thinks she is...I can't believe I haven't. That one goes next on the list of q's for him. And I do have some updated pics, I'll get those online this weekend. I can't believe I didn't ask the vet! It's been on my list of questions forEVER! I'll keep you posted.

Ha ha this is funny....but that doesn't look like a boxer to me??? It looks like a boston terrier puppy. There are some out there that are called "miniature boxers" that actually have the fawn and white markings. I am trying to find some pics on the net, but can't right now. Check out some of the boston terrier websites and very FEW I don't think they are AKC registered, but they are the fawn and white markings of the boxer!

Looks like you've got yourself a boston terrier there!!!

She is still cute though!!!

You will know for sure if her ears stand on their own....

And look how fuzzy she is too.... I just DON'T think it is a boxer AT ALL. Maybe it's a boston mixed with something, but it is DEFINITELY not a boxer!!!

Osuna looks adorable and I am happy to see that you are taking her to the vet for regular checkups. On the matter of her size, she does look very small and I would definetly ask the vet how old they would put her at. I would also ask what breed/mix of dog your vet would place her in. Your vet is the best person to ask these questions to because they can actually see the dog in person. Congradulations on Osuna's weight gain and keep up the good parenting. Natas is on the other end of the weight scale at 11wks he weights almost 30lbs, he is a brick too! He was 25 lbs at 9 wks and we get an official weigh in tomorrow on our vet visit. We will keep you posted and you do the same! Take care.

That's one cute dog! - but I must agree there's no way it could possibly be a full bred boxer at 10/11 weeks old. Mine was a skinny - literally skin and bones skinny - pup at 12 weeks when I got him, but he still weighed about 17lbs.

Let us know what the Vet has to say!
