Hi,

I just looked at your pictures and I must say that even though your puppy is as CUTE AS A BUTTON, there is NO WAY that she is 10 weeks old. Either that, or someone else got to the mommy. (It is possible for a litter to be sired by more than one dog). Did the breeder keep other breeds of dogs as well?

Like I said, your puppy is ADORABLE and I'm sure you'll love her to pieces no matter what... but IMO there's something going on... either you were told the wrong age, or there was an "oops" incident. I would call your breeder and demand an explanation.

Just my 2 cents. Good luck with your cutie pie.

I definately agree.. looking at the pictures of your baby girl, she does not look anywhere near where a 10wk old boxer puppy should look. She looks to be 4wks, or younger. You can check my website, or my gallary to see what my 2 looked like at 4-5wks and 8wks and so on. I would definately talk to another vet, get a second oppion to rule out all possible health problems, and also talk to the breeder again. (if this were my pup, i would pry quite a bit til i found an answer that i believed 100%) Good Luck! Keep us updated!

She is a beautiful little girl:) I'm suprised that your vet didn't suspect that she is much younger than 10 weeks. Good luck, and keep us posted.

Wow, I agree! The pup looks more like four weeks or so. I just adopted a kitten for my mom who weighs about the same as your Boxer?! The photos also reminded me of a puppy we once had in rescue who had a severe cleft palate and didn't get the proper nutrition . . . . he was very undersized. However, I'm assuming your vet would have discovered something like that.

definately a cute pup! Probably like the others siad younger than you were told. But just a bit of info: There is a breed of dog called an Old Boston Bulldog. It was the breed of dog that Boston Terriers were bred down to what they are today. They get anywhere from 25 to 40 pounds and come in all bulldog colors. Althogh they are closely related to boston terriers they should not be confused with them as they don't have the health problems that come along with BTs nor do they REALLY look like them. the fawn ones are nicknamed mini boxers but I think that they generally don't have the typical mask of a boxer. with the black eyes and what not. they are awesome dogs and I plan on getting one for a playmate for Zowie. I'll probably go for a blue or a red though.

I just thought my baby was small, but yours is tiny

My Cletus was small, at 8 wks he weighed 4.5lbs, but your pup is tiny. Cletus now weighs 70lbs at 14mths, he grew & gained weight fast,he just needed some TLC. LOL, Hanley

i once saw a litter of about 6 labs and one had a type of dwarfism, was about half the size of the others (very cute though!). have they ruled that out?

Good News!

Hi everyone, we've got some great news! In the two weeks since her first vet visit, Osuna has nearly DOUBLED in weight! Her first weigh-in was at 2.7 pounds, and now she's at 5.2 pounds! Our confidence is renewed in our little pup, and I just wanted to thank everyone for responding to our concerns. Not only is she bigger, but she's full of energy and spunk. She's gonna be ok!

Thanks again!
