Mia had her MST removal surgery today. The tumor on her rear (about 2 inches above her tail) was deep and the incision is about 4 inches long, but the vet believes she got clean margins. The one by her eye has unbelievably shrunk (though not much, were talking millimeters). the vet said she really examined it and did not want to remove it because she is hopeful since it has shrunk and also it is through the lid meaning the repair of the eyelid would be very difficult. She stated that if it is needing to be removed I should see a specialist who can deal with the repair of the lid as well as having more specialized instruments to take a smalled section of the lid off.
Mia is still groggy. She looks so pitiful with her dried up tongue sticking out of her mouth. She still cannot stand on her legs without wobbling, so she is currently asleep on my bed away from all the other fur babies and skin kids in the house. I am going to make her some broth and boil her rice and hamburger meat that she loves. So now we play the waiting game with the lab results.
