Mia's surgery went very well. She is a little stiff today and still grumpy, she has snapped at Coco Kitty twice just for sniffing her. I put her away in my bedroom to keep the peace in the house. Rocky & the cats are camped by the bedroom door wanting to be let in. I am trying to coax my little piggy into eating, but she does not have much of an appetite right now. I am going to make her some brown rice & chicken in just a bit to tempt her.

Our vet said both areas were not very deep and she believes she got clean margins. So now we wait on the lab results and chemo to begin next week.

Thanks a whole bunch for all your kind thoughts & words. They mean a lot.

Finally an update

This last 1 1/2 months has been very crazy. Mia's surgery went well and the last two tumors removed were also grade 1 MST. We started chemo on April 9th and finished on April 30th. She did well, lost almost 7 lbs. While she has always been chunky and needed to lose some weight it was scary to see it happen. She is now hanging in at 19 lbs. We are still doing benedryl & Tagament, vitamin C supplements. She got very finicky and for a while only wanted her boiled rice & chicken. She is starting to eat her normal raw diet with Rocky and is getting more active. The cats are very wary of her now as she has been very snappish during her chemo.

Miss Mia's last labs came back fine, so the word is we now we wait and keep checking for more lumps. Here in Texas the fire ants are starting to hit and every bump makes me nervous. We have already weathered a couple of ant bites, hopefully I can ease up and not panic everytime we see a new lump.

I did not get on BW a whole lot during this time & missed some work on her bad days, but I feel like everything is starting to get more normal & balanced. Thanks everybody for your awsome vibes & caring about my stinky girl.

Glad to hear things are getting better with your Mia. Enjoy those peaceful moments with her and know that your love for her is very evident. I hope those fire ants leave Mia alone and am happy to hear that she seems to be feeling much better and eating a more normal diet.
