We recently adopted a boxer into our family which we named Piper. She has adjusted quite well over the last couple of days. We are in the process of introducing her to our 3 year old daughter and thus far have really gotten along. We are also trying to crate train her and bell train as well. She has had one mistake, which was my fault, but has been very eager to learn. The crate training part was great the first night. She slept for about 4 hrs and then began to cry. We took her outside and then she went directly back into her bed and went to sleep. The second night wasn't as nice. She was up every hr or so and refused to go to her bed. So, I slept next to the crate as she laid down in her bed. The floor is not the most comfortable place to sleep. 
I anticipate it will be like this for the next couple of weeks. On the positive side, she has learned the command sit and come. She is not 100% but she is getting there. Everyone have a safe and wonderfull new year!
