Memphis, TN Area Boxer Bash

Aggghhh! I hate that I missed it!

I have family in Jackson, so it wouldn't be a big deal for me to drive to Memphis. Where is the dog park you're talking about? I'm kind of familiar w/ Memphis, but not too much.

My parents live in Jackson, too! The dog park is at Shelby Farms. It is off Trinity in Cordova. If you do a web search on Shelby Farms, you'll find info on the park.

Anyway, it seems like the majority of those interested suggested a date in June. I will be out of town the weekend of the 19th, but other than that, any weekend is good for me. If someone wants to throw out a suggestion for a date, that would be great!

beusmommy~ Hey how are you? i was in memphis a few weeks ago visiting my family and such - i took my sisters labout to Shelby Farms in hopes of running into ya'll or any other boxers but no luck anyway, we might be able to make another trip to memphis soon i didn't get to bring my babies home with me cuz hubby wouldn't let me, but i did meet a family with a boxer down the street from my parents - they live over off berryhill by cordova high school - i told them about this place but i haven't seen them yet.

How about the 25th or 26th??

It's been so hot we haven't been going over until later in the evening. I am open to any day at any time if the temp isn't over 90 for the young one's sake. The great thing about gate 12 at Shelby is the picnic table under the trees. We generally spend most of the time there with a gallon jug of water and a bowl that ends up becoming the community dog waterer. Great way to meet other dog lovers too! How do we communicate with each other on this other than this board?

Rolen & I live three hours away from Memphis. Anyone want to plan something for this coming weekend Satuday the 25th or Sunday the 26th of June?

How about Saturday the 25th around 9:30am? I'm almost certain I won't have to work and it will need to be early for us to survive in the blaring sun. I hope this will work for some (most) of you. If not, let me know and we'll plan something else. I live so close that I can go pretty much anytime I'm not working. Beau will be so excited!!!

Once we meet up, we can exchange info since it will be easier to just call each other up on short notice and see if anyone can make it for a playdate.

I know a lot of you guys are way too far away, but I wanted to tell you guys anyway that we're having a Bash on the 25th at Maggie's Bark Park in Franklin. Hope you guys have fun either way!!

We will be there at 9:30 Saturday. I have been going over every night about 7 for an hour the past 5 days and have run across quite a few Boxer owners that had never heard of Boxerworld.com. I told them how to get on the site so hopefully they and others will be able to come out for the morning. Hopefully we can get a good group together and share contact information to set up additional get togethers in the future.
