Boxer Booster
Mack was 10 years old when I brought Oscar home. While Oscar was little Mack would allow ANY behavior. Now, that Oscar is older he will tolerate a lot but when it gets to be too much he puts Oscar in his place. It's kinda funny because Mack is not a big boy [he was the runt of a litter] when he has had enough he jumps up and lowers his head and growls. Oscar, who outweighs him by about 8 pounds, takes off down the hall until Mack lays back down.

Thanks to all who have replied to this. I have been having the same problem with my 11 wk old girl,Maddie and my 7 yr old girl,Dulce. It is hard to see all the little scratch and bite marks on my gentle Dulce! She is so good with the baby-tolerates everything. I am happy to know that this is normal. My husband keeps telling me that I have to let them work it out.

It sounds like several of us are in the same situation. Dukie is 7 and chloe will be 3 months on the 24th. Same thing going on....puppy agression. I'm amazed at how tolerant Duke is of her behavior. We cheer him on..."put in her place, boy".

I really had concerns as to how this was going to work because Duke tends to be agressive. It took a month of keeping them seperate and introducing them gradually on leash. He initialy behaved agressively.lunging and making agitated noises. So to see him playing so tolerantly is really a miracle! He enjoys having her around, but she wears him out and we let him hang out in our room for quiet time without the pest.
As an added bonus he seems more receptive to people visiting, he was very friendly with my daughters friend this wevening, was even licking them and you could tell he was enjoying the attention. I think he sees the big fuss everyone is making over Chloe and wants some of that attention for himself.

Titus is still very tolerant of Chloe. He has gotten a little more stern with her though. They love to play together. In fact, Titus whines when we put her in her crate. I tell him that play time is over :p I was somewhat concerned at first but now I have realized that she is just what he needed. He gets plenty of exercise now.
