hello everybody. thank you all for all of the information. it is all helping. i am still confused as to what to do. spanky gets his stitched out friday. and i am supposed to talk to my vet then about the medicine. what i have found very weird is that spanky does not have cancer, but my vet is still suggesting that i use prednisone. does this make sense. i have been looking at different sites. and looking through different books. and i keep getting diffeent info. i still am clueless as to what to do. it is so frustrating. don't you think....please keep giving me info...it helps so much...have a good day guys. thanks, spizanky.

i found this

Treatment Considerations: Well-differentiated to Moderately-differentiated tumors: Wide surgical excision; adjunctive radiation therapy (88% achieve 5-year control for moderately differentiated tumors); although efficacy is uncertain, recent use of CCNU and/or Velban have shown promise.

Poorly-differentiated tumors: Surgery, with or without radiation therapy, is palliative; H2 blockers, prednisone, and vincristine chemotherapy may be helpful (see Protocol 8)
