) have a hard time "showing" pain. They are a very stoic breed! Ginger always got up to greet me when I got home, and the day she didn't, I figured something was wrong. They all have different ways of showing pain. Just look for something "out of character" for her. It may be one little thing (and you may not notice it at first), but it will be out of her normal actions. And if I may suggest, if she does show signs of pain, Buprenex injectable is what Ginger was taking for pain. It can be squirted into their mouths (through a non-needled syringe) and absorbed through the mucus membranes, and that's what we were on (it works with the prednisone--most pain meds and prednisone don't work together). But of course, ask your vet--he/she knows what is best for your girl!Gin&Dex said:Hey Lisa,
I re-read this thread, and I want to apologize for maybe coming off as "doom and gloom". After re-reading, I know that isn't the case with Lady. I understand you just want to know how to let her have fun and be happy, and what to look for (if she is in pain).
