Boxer Insane
Haven't been around much lately because of all of the other stuff I have going on in my life, but I wanted to pop in to share what happened to Mason last night.
I was outside playing with both Riley and Mason last night and they were having a blast chasing each other around. It was warm for this time of year so it was nice to be out enjoying the sun. Well, Mason (short and weighing 51lb) is a LOT faster than Riley (tall and weighing 83lb). He can probably do about two laps around the yard before Riley finishes his first. So anyway, they were racing around the pool when all of a sudden Riley decided he wanted to turn around and run the opposite direction not knowing that Mason was coming in around the corner at full speed. They ended up colliding and Riley's head slammed into Mason's side. Mason let out the loudest yelp I've ever heard so of course I was panicing and scrambling to get to him. When I got to him he had a gash about 3" on his right side. It looked like Riley caught him with his teeth which cut him. He had a big flap of skin that was loose, but thankfully he wasn't bleeding, it was red with blood but it wasn't actually dripping if that makes sense. We immediately rushed him to the emergency hospital and they had to use 8 staples to close him up. We were sent home with some pain meds and some antibiotics. Later last night he was just about normal and ready to play again. Today he's completely back to normal so thankfully he should be ok. It'll be difficult to keep him quiet!
