Now for an update on the boys.
Mason first... He's almost 9 years and 5 months old now and is still active way beyond his age! He has slowed down some, but is still super active. I guess it's a good way to keep him younger. After a pretty shaky start, he and Logan are very good buddies now. They really enjoy playing, but we do have to stop it from time to time to give them both a breather.
Health wise Mason is doing great! He went for his yearly phsical earlier this month and the vet said he has the beginnings of cataracts so I'm on the search for a holisitic route to try to help him out (any tips would be appreciated!). He also needed dental work done. He had 5 teeth pulled (3 of which were already loose), but he has made a full recovery and has been doing a lot better since then.
Now Logan... he certainly grew like a weed. He's now quite a bit bigger than Mason. He is such a smart boy too! He knows how to sit, lay down, roll over, wait, stay, and wave. I've slacked off in the training department, but want to start teaching him more tricks. He's also getting more and more handsome every day! He's a big people person and loves attention. He's also a cuddler. I'm lucky if I wake up to 1/3 of my bed for myself. Every time I move over, he moves over until we're both at the edge. It'll be fun in the winter when it's cold out. He's a silly puppy at times, but he's been a lot of fun and is always guaranteed to put a smile on my face!
Logan's health has been great overall. I did experienced some tummy sensitivity issues with him while trying to find the right kibble. We tried Natural Balance, Wellness, TOTW, and Earthborn. Finally, I got fed up with seeing him sick and having loose stools so I switched him over to raw last month. He has been thriving ever since! Raw is definitely agreeing with him. He has lost a bit of weight since switching, but now that he's been on raw long enough we'll start introducing red meats which should help put a bit more weight back on him.
