Male to Male Aggression

About 2.5 months ago I adopted a male dog from a rescue organization, Sundance. He's a big hunk of love and full of boxer wiggles. He and my female boxer Lulu were fast friends and play very well together.

I took him to my doggie daycare to get evaluated and he didn't pass. Apparently he does not get along with other male dogs. Sundance is about 4 years hold and was neutered about 2 weeks before I adopted him. I was told that he loves children and loves the company of "other" dogs. Guess I should have asked specifically both male and female dogs? He's a wonderful dog and I will keep him no matter. It's just now, I can't take him to dog parks or off leash daycare/kennels. Is imale to male aggression something that can be corrected? The owner of the day care said that it would be near impossible and that maybe I can train him to the point that he can maybe get close but only under supervision. Any thoughts or advice out there? I ask because my sister who I visit a few times a year has two black labs Bo & Bella. Is there any hope in the two male dogs getting along?

My plan is to find a pet sitter and not keep them at a "traditional" kennel. Thanks for your help.

My advice would be to find a trainer that socializes dogs with his/her own pack. I don't agree with anyone who says that behaviors are impossible to fix. I have seen pit bulls that were going to be euthanized for aggression and now are the greatest dogs anyone could have.

I agree. Try another daycare that will help you socialize him with dogs that are easy going & non-aggressive. What part of California are you in? I know of a few great daycares that are really good at matching up dogs into appropriate play groups. It helps if the daycare is run by a very knowledgeable training staff.
