Male Boxer (Mix) in KILL shelter (Georgia)

There is a male boxer mix (very close to boxer) in a kill shelter in the Catoosa County Animal Shelter. He has about a week left. He is very Boxer. His head, face and body are exactly Boxer only smaller than the real thing. He is fawn and white. He is very adorable, and probably a year old or younger. He is sweet and affectionate. I talked to the volunteer there and he said this dog is great. This dog is also child friendly. I had my 8 month old daughter with me and he snuffled her toes and tried to give her kisses. I can't express enough how sweet this dog is. If you are interested please contact me and I will give you any and all info you need to rescue this poor dog from his cold little world behind the fencing.

This dog is in the tri-state area. AL, TN, and GA. Catoosa County is outside of Chattanooga, TN. Please, even if you are looking for a purebred Boxer, this big guy is for you. He is an exact replica only 20 lbs lighter.

Is he still there? I live in Walker county. My sweet girl Diva died tragically Saturday and I am not sure I could take him at this point but...I could help find him a home.

I called the shelter. There was some confusion I think. They told me he isn't adoptable until this coming Monday, but I am fairly certain he was already adoptable. (I think.) Anyway, he is there and if you go by and see him you will be able to point him out and get better info on his status. He is in pen number 13 (or was yesterday) and you can't miss his sweet little face. I had to call to him yesterday, he had curled up away from the gate, to get a look at him. I think he's tired of being on parade. :(

He is adoptable on Monday. I have not heard anything else from Tricia about him. I spoke with the shelter yesterday and he is still fine. From Monday he will have 7 days until euthanization (sp?). If it comes to that, I will be going to collect him and try to adopt him out myself. I really hope Tricia has been to visit him. He's a beautiful boy. I'll try and go today to get a pic of him to post.
