Magoo was such a good boy!!

A scary thing happened this morning. DH left for work early as usual but forgot something so he came back and ran into the house in a hurry. He came in through the front door (the front door is very heavy and you have to push it hard for it to latch shut) Well somehow he forgot to push it all the way closed, he then grabbed what he needed and left through the back door. Well he left the front door wide open and I was still asleep in bed. We don't have a fence and live on a fairly busy road.
Everytime DH leaves Magoo tries to follow him out and whines at the door to go along. But this morning even though the front door was open Magoo didn't go out after DH. He came into the bedroom and kept whining at me to get up. The only time he does this is if he has to go to the bathroom. So I figure he must really have to go and get out of bed and find the front door wide open!! I couldn't believe he didn't seize the moment to get outdoors and instead came and let me know the door was open.
I am so proud of him and so grateful he didn't go out and get hit by a car or lost or god forbid stolen!!

Same thing happened to me the other day. When I came in and saw the front door open, only two of my dogs could be found - Thumper was missing and I was frantic! One of the kids eventually found her asleep under my bed - what a relief! ~ Cathy

What a good boy Magoo is! appicon He knew all wasn't right and was trying to let Mommy know! But you better make sure you read hubby the riot act for not making sure the door was shut properly. Lord knows anything could have happened, but we don't want to think of those possibilities. We'll just concentrate on how good Magoo is!
