Wow - planning already!!! I hope we can make it this year. I was so bummed last year. I'll be checking the web site for details to come. Thanks Adelle!
I'm so excitied!!! This is my first dog and I'm so glad I have a boxer, hes great! I cant wait to bring him to the boxer bash. He LOVES other dogs so I'm sure this will be the best day for him I'll have to remember to bring a camera!!
Oh shoot, I have a feeling that is the same day as a wedding we are going to! darnit! Maybe we can make it...hehe
By the way... I think we are going to go to the Medway Dog Park on Sunday if anyone else is interested...I am curious however, do you think it is safe? In terms of viruses and everything, I know not everyone is as "health conscious" as we are and I don't want Austin to pick anything up...he's only 7 months...should we go or not?
You will just have to skip the wedding and come to the Bash
With regards to the dog park provided he is up to date on his vacinations he should be fine - that is not to say there still insn't the chance of picking up kennel cough or something but its a slim chance and for a grown healthy dog its not a big deal - just like a cold for us. Besides the fun and socialization far out way the negatives
But just watch out for other dogs that are bullies or that should not be at a dog park - there is always one.
Just wanted to let you all know that we will be having a micro chip clinic and cgc exams available at our boxer bash this year. Pre-registration is required if you want to do either of these at the bash.
I will be posting more details on our website later this evening so keep an eye on the local events page www.boxerbuddies.org
If anyone would like me to email them the flyer for the event which will have directions etc please send me a PM with your email address.
Hi Adelle - one quick question. Do we need to bring proof of vaccinations or is it an honor system? I just thought of that reading your reply about kennel cough. I printed up the flyer from the Boxer Buddies site and I'm giving a copy to Mason's doggie sitter. She & he dh have four boxers! :D
P.S. Mason is up-to-date, it was just a thought that I had...
Hi Adelle,
I attended the boxer bash last year, and I actually met the people who "adopted" my dog's sister....it was kind of cool...I still have pictures of them at the "breeder" as little bunny rabbit puppies...I hope they come this year!! We'll be there, for sure!!
