Are there others out there that are currently struggling with a cancer diagnosis, specifically lymphoma? 10.5 year old Mugsy was diagnosed Nov 2013. Thankfully we have doggie insurance (Embrace pet insurance is the best!) and Mugsy has been undergoing chemo since then. Amazingly, just minor side effects a few days after treatments, and then he rebounds and is currently in remission (for the 2nd time) with 6 more CCNU treatments. He went through the Madison Wisconsin protocol first and stayed in remission until just a few weeks shy of completing. A combo of other drugs has put him back into remission for now. I know my time is limited with him and he gets lots of snuggles, hugs and treats. He is my best friend, protector, loyal, unconditional love. My 4 year old female has never known a day without him, follows him loyally. I worry about her after he is gone.

Thanks for listening.

I haven't been through chemo with any of my dogs, I just wanted to say I hope this remission lasts a good long while. I do know what it is like wondering if today is going to be the day and worrying about how a younger dog is going to handle it. I have been down that road. You just have to take it one day at a time and squeeze in as much love as you can into those days. Prayers for a long remission.
