Ashleynicole
Boxer Pal
We have been battling knots on sugars lymph nodes under her neck for several months. When we first noticed them, only the right side of her neck was swollen. I took her straight to the vet that day and done a biopsy. The mass was solid, and they found leukocyes, neurophils, eosinphills, and many other. Told me it didn't look nasty enough to be cancer. (didn't know that you could tell cancer by how nasty it was with the naked eye....) The vet put her on round of antibiotics along with anti-inflam. At first the antibiotics helped a little, but then the knots started spreading to both sides of her neck. After a phone call back to the doctor, she decided since the antibiotics decreased the knots in size at first, we would try a diff. antibiotic that was stronger, and twice a day instead of once a day. Once again the knots decreased in size but didn't go away fully. When i had her at the vet the otherday, they done another biopsy and blood work. Her Blood work came back great, and said that the biopsy looked better this time. The only thing that was found was Eosinphills. I was told that this could be due, to heartworms, parasites, or a food allergy. Needless to say we finished the testing while we are there and she didn't have heartworms, we are giving her a round of wormer, and trying to determine what she could be allergic to.
