Lump under her skin

Hi everyone!

I have been reading these forums for months, and a few weeks ago I finally got my beautiful flashy fawn female! We love her so much... Anyway, a few days ago we took her to the vet for the third (?) set of shots, including the rabies shot. Immediately afterward, I noticed a bump just beneath her skin in the area of the shot. It might have been a coinidence, but I did not see that bump before the visit. I asked the vet's assistant about a possible reaction, and she said that it should not have reacted to the shot. 3 days later, I still see a bump beneath her skin in that area - almost like a marble-sized (or slightly bigger) cyst. It doesn't seem painful to our baby, but I am beginning to become worried - what with the stories I hear about cancer, etc. I will call the vet back tomorrow - but can anyone reassure me? Thanks-

My Angel had the same thing and it happened after her 3rd set and rabies shot. I asked my vet and he said it is nothing to worry about. It has been about a week and a half and it is still there. I hope this helps you not worry so much.

Hi,i dont post very often but just wanted to let you know that my puppy did the same thing. It was from the shots,it took about a month and a half for it to go away. I was worried to but his vet said it was just a reaction. Try not to worry.

Thanks again guys. The vet told me that some puppies react like this, and to wait for 2-3 weeks for it to disappear. I feel better now!
