Okay. I just dont understand. Lucy is now almost 5 months old and she can go almost all day in her crate and not have an accident (that is only if I can not get home at lunch) she could also go all night sleeping in our bed and not have an accident. (I know its bad). She will still pee in the house out of the blue. I watch her like a hawk most times and put her outside alot. but then I will turn around and she pees on the floor! This morning she peed in our bed while I was sleeping and she was just out earlier. I am starting to get beside myself with this. I am trying bell training but she seems to ignore it. She is also learning to jump off the bed now and that scares me too she will be peeing all over the house at night if she can get down. I am afraid to put her in the crate at night again for she will make noise all night. I dont know what to do. any suggestions?

Do you think she may have a bladder infection? Start all over again with the bells just like she was a new pup. Patience, persistance, praise!

Willis ignored the bell for a long time too... it took weeks for him to get the hang of it. I was completely frustrated because he had no way of telling us he wanted to go out. Keep up the hard work with the bell and one day, she will surprise you!

As for the night time crating, maybe try it out on a weekend or something when it's not such a big deal if you lose some sleep. Or even go down for a nap to see how it goes.

I dont think its a bladder infection been through that already know the signs :) as for the bell training i will keep up with it and hopefully she will catch on haha and try the night crating, cause she is getting braver with jumping off the bed except she cant get back up ahah serves her right i guess haha. I hear her wimpering and have to lean over to give her a boost up. she hasnt peed in the bed since that last time so maybe it was just a one time accident :)

Sometimes I have the same problem with Axel, He is 5 1/2 months and for the last month he hasn't went in the house, he would always go stand near the door. But about a week ago while I was sitting on the couch, I turned to look for him and he just looked at me and pee'd on the carpet. 99% of the time he will go stand by the door, but it seems like he just wants to see if he can get away with doing it in the house every now and then. I leave Axel in my garage during the night because he is in the crate during the day and I feel bad for putting him in there at night too, but every morning I can count on cleaning up a pile or two in my garage. Some may say its because he may not be able to control his bladder but he will never potty in his crate and he is in there for at least 9 hrs during the day. Any suggestions on how to break him from using the garage at night???

Yeah its wierd I know she can hold it in her crate and at night for at least eight hours. but i try to leave her in the house loose for an hour and she pees 2 or 3 times. I dont know why she does that

My girl was a year last week and STILL has the occasional accident. This has been the hardest to train dog I have ever had! She goes only though when I leave her in the house alone, usually only for an hour or so, any longer and I put her in the crate, where she holds it.

Cassius is 6 months old and will do just what Lucy does, out of the clear blue sky he'll just stand there and pee????? I think he forgets at times? Hoping it will get better for you.

Well this weekend we went camping and Lucy went ALL weekend without peeing in the camper (I was so proud of her) and we even left her for about a half an hour alone with the other dog and she didnt have an accident. We get home yesterday and I run to the store and they were sleeping (so pooped from camping lol) I let her out in the house and i come back 45 minutes later pee in the kitchen. I dont know why she does it especially when we are gone. She has gotten better and hasnt done it in the bed since that incident. so hopefully she is getting better. I tried the bell but it broke (the string) so i need to get another one and try that again. :)
