low calcium diet

My little man, bubba, was just diagnosed with HOD. We are supposed to put him on a very low calcuim diet. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good low calcium diet. Bubba has a very very bad case of HOD. He has been at the vet all week, and hopefully we will get to bring him home this weekend. Any information would be greatly helpful. Thanks in advance.

From what i know HOD is a very painful bone problem. It is not common in boxers. This diet will have to stick with him until he is done growing. His body is producing to much calcium from what the vet said, so we have to keep out any extra that we can. There is lots of info on HOD on this site, if you want to know more.

I don't know a lot about the different kibbles but when feeding BARF you can feed as much or as little of anything you want. You'd be making your own dog food so can make it to fit the dog's needs.

Do you know how much calcium he can have? Have you tried talking to a holistic vet?
