Lots of boxers in Illinois

I was looking at petfinder last night and noticed that there are about 8 or so purebred boxers listed in shelters in Illinois. There are 4 in one shelter down south that are all 6 years old and have cropped ears. I have a feeling that they all came in from the same person. Just thought I would post incase anyone is looking. We found Zander from using petfinder and he is wonderful. There is also one boxer listed that was neglected and they need help for her. I hope that all of them find wonderful homes soon.

Looked at Petfinder under Il..

After reading your message I went to petfinder under Il...and Yes, in collinsville, IL there are 4 Boxers.......I e-mailed them and now just waiting on a response.......There only about 4 hours from me......They all look healthy and are good size most are brindle.............Allison

Allison-just wondering if you've heard anything back from the shelter yet? Some of the shelter's that I e-mailed when looking for a boxer never replied. If you haven't heard anything yet, you might want to try calling them. Good luck again!

Actually no I haven't.....very sad here......I have not found one boxer well there have been a couple of people wanting me to adopt there precious babies and I would but the first thing they say is the adoption fee is $200.00.....Not that I expect to pay nothing but that seems to be some of thiers big concern...Which makes me wonder you know.....I think I will give them a call....

I went to petfinder today for the first time in almost a month. It made me sad to see that two of the Collinsville senior boxers are still there.:( I know it's harder to adopt out older dogs, but it still bothers me so much. There is also an eight year old female boxer in a shelter in Robinson. A family turned her in and said they didn't want her. She is adorable and they have all her papers and vet records. Apparently she got too old to breed so they gave her up. I really hope that someone out there can open up their homes to these older babies.
