Teressa, my heart goes out to you - brought back alot of memories of when we put our Chester to sleep - he too had cancer, in the mouth. It was a very hard decision to make, but we knew it was a matter of 'when' and not 'if'. It was a couple of months after we lost him that we got our present two - it was so hard not having a Boxer in the house.
You will always miss Buster, but there's lots of love in you to share with another Boxer(s).

Littermates - born May 9/97 and real clowns!!

I'm very sorry for your loss. I just put my 14 yr old cocker down a couple of weeks ago. I have two boxers and they were exceptional clowns just when I needed them to be. Go get your new pup they do bring joy and with joy healing.

Dear Teressa,

I am sitting here at work reading this and trying to find the right words to offer you for what I truly know you are feeling right now. But you and I both know there are no perfect words for the loss you have experianced. God, I wish there were! What I can offer you is my love and heart that only another boxer owner can give! I lost my first baby to cancer as well, and it too invaded his brain. The only thing I could think of that gave me some comfort was the fact that now he is in a place of peace, and that God would take the best possible care of him until I am able to join him myself. May God be with you in your time of need.

Eva

Our sympathy to you for your loss. Each day will be a little better and in the end you'll be together again. I'm sure your baby had a great life while he was here and he is happy and not in pain where he is now.

Teressa,
SO VERY SORRY to hear your sad news.
It has been 10 months since we lost Hume. I still cry almost daily.
I wanted to answer your question about how soon is too soon.
We knew Hume was terminal so we had talked about getting a new dog. She died Thursday night and we called Boxer Rescue on Friday morning. They had 2 dogs available for adoption. We went Saturday. Fell in love with our newest furbaby "Mutti" and brought her home only 9 days after Hume died. For us those were the longest 9 days.
We have no human children so our fur children our our kids.
You will know when the time is right but I don't regret getting another dog so soon. She is a full fledged member of the family, spoiled and the most loving creature. Will be 3 on Sunday.
On the way to the vet last October I was holding Hume and asked her to have God send us a new baby to love. Well our new baby arrived just 36 hours later.
My thoughts are with you and so are my tears.
Bo

Dear Teressa,
I know that nothing i say can comfort you the way that Buster did, but remember that he didn't suffer in the long run. Also remember all the good times that the two of you had and cherish them forever.
A new puppy does not replace Buster, and it may or may not help you feel better. But consider another boxer puppy to make you laugh, all puppies are 1 in a million as Buster was. They are always clowns and can make you smile.

Bandit sends you boxer huggs, kisses and wiggles.

God is now watching over Buster and he is watching, and waiting for you from the rainbow bridge, with those loving big brown eyes. You and Buster are in my thoughts and prayers.

Melanie
