Boxer Pal
I'm posting for my sister-in-law who's boxer is lost. She's taking care of physically looking and posting flyers and I'm doing the internet things. Bullwinkle is very large (about 90 lbs), friendly, nuetured, natural ears, brindle, small white stripe between eyes to nose, lots of spots on white chest, white paws, male boxer. Bull got out of a fenced yard on Jan 6, 2007. We have searched daily every since. My SIL is not doing well (not eating or sleeping) she is so distraught. I have posted everywhere I can think of on the internet and also contacted all boxer rescues. My SIL has even gone as far as consulting a pet tracker and a animal communicator. We will NEVER give up looking for him. He is VERY loved and missed. They (brother and SIL) also have another boxer (not lost). He's fawn, his name is Rocky (he's Bullwinkle's dad) and he is also stressed about him being gone. I am going to keep trying to figure out how to post a picture but so far I don't get it. I am a little bad with computers.

I'm sorry to hear that your sisters boxer is missing! You could try mailing pictures of him to the vets in the area too! Is he chipped was he wearing tags at the time he went off? I hope he gets returned safely. My thoughs are with your family at this difficult time!

There is a computer forum if you are struggling with the pics.
I can do it, so it can't be too hard

Seriously, I really, really hope you get Bullwinkle back safe and well.

Fingers, paws, in fact everything is crossed here for you :)

We've already taken flyers to all area vets and animal hospitals and posted huge posters all over the area. I did forget to mention that we are located in Harford County Maryland.

I think I posted a picture of him in the brindle boxer section (fingers crossed that it worked). It says that it's pending approval.

That is terrible for your sister in law, I hope he is found very soon. She must be so pleased that you are helping her.

Our local TV stations here will accept emails with a photo and show it on the morning news. You could try that. Also groomers are a great place to habg flyers. Best of luck. Hope you find him soon.

Your pic worked- Sorry we can't do more being so far away.
We are all here praying for his safe return... I will keep checking this thread- hoping to see some good news...
Please keep us updated!

Payton sends Rocky wiggles and he's keeping his paws crossed that Bull is found safe and sound. :)

Have you considered making the type of flyers that you can hang on people’s door knobs? You may be able to get more exposure that way. Also expand your search as wide as possible because many dogs have been found miles & miles away.

Additionally you might want to include some type of wording in your signs which conveys that you’re interested in any information regarding the dog. The rescue that I work with has been trying to help a family whose dog got loose. The family flyered the entire neighborhood. A month later they received a tip that someone had the dog just around the block. The person who has the dog saw the flyers but decided to keep the dog anyway. They are currently working with the police to get the dog back.

Another idea is if you have the money you could take out an ad with a picture in your local newspaper. Not just in the lost & found section but where the regular ads are. You could also bring a big stack of flyers to the grocery stores in your area and see if the store manager will allow the baggers to stuff a flyer in each customer’s bag.
