Male, 14 month old boxer, uncropped ears, brown with black snout, white chest, 3 white feet-right rear foot has two white and two brown toes. Had his choke chain on.
Story:
4/13/01 My son was asleep on his couch and several acquaintances stopped over, on the way in or out Keiths dog ran out. The gentlemen did not feel the need to wake up my son and left. (we have checked them out as far as them stealing the dog-no luck) When Keith awoke the dog was gone. Baffled and confused he called everyone he knew, discovered the above had occurred, went out and combed the area. Called the Oregon and Toledo Police Depts, called the Toledo Blade and has an ad run with $200 reward. We have fliers out, called all the vets in the East Toledo and Oregon area to be on the alert, we gave them posters also. Keith was down to the Dog Pound three times last week, I will be going every tuesday and wednesday for a while.
I even contacted K100 our Country Western radio station and they were very kind and annouced the missing boxer, description and reward. I am not sure what else we can do.
We thought we had a lead Saturday, a women found a young male boxer, my son met them and it was creepy this pup was about the same exact age, uncropped ears, black face, white chest, 4 white feet. We were so hopeful, but the markings were not right. They checked and double checked. My son left brokenhearted (me too-i observed from across the street) This dog was found not far from my son's house, i keep having the sick feeling that who ever lost that pup found keiths. The scary part is the folks who cared for the above pup had him to the vet and he had already suffered a broken jaw and had internal injuries. How sad. My heart is just so very sad, I feel like all i want to do is cry, the helpless feelings. I know i am the grandma of sorts, but i saw him every week, i saw the connection between Drake and my son, I saw the big tears when he was not with kieth, i saw the excitement when he saw keith. The personality, the sweet disposition, he is so precious, we miss him so very much. We keep praying that God is taking good care of him and hopefully someway or the other we will find him. Faith is all we have.
